Our Founder & Designer Emily Salsbury-Deveaux was born in Edmonton and now lives in Kelowna. This is where our flagship location is as well as her design office.

You can often find in Pandosy Village with her pup Alfie.

Although she dreamed her whole life of being a fashion designer, it wasn't until she had her own problems to solve that she embarked on this project.

Emily is an award winning retail strategist in Canada. She has worked with multi-national retailers, franchises, shopping centres, universities and even airports in the last 20+ years.

In 2018, she decided to launch the brand alongside her strict values of design, service, sustainability and most importantly, innovation.

She believes strongly in the capsule closet as a way to free your mind, build your confidence, and positively impact other areas of your life.

With EMMYDEVEAUX, the "who" matters. She designs every piece, picks every fabric, every button, every stitch. This is a very purposeful brand in every way and we welcome you to the site.

We are proud to be one of Canada's most sustainable fashion retailers.

Since 2018, we have pre-funded all of our new designs and since 2020 we have been buying back our preloved pieces and reselling them.

We manufacture in small batches to maintain our commitment to no inventory waste.

Often this means we sell out quickly on items but they always come back.

Brands need to think about sustainability as part of the infrastructure of their business operations rather than a marketing angle.

By implementing programs and measuring their success we hope other brands will start to consider more sustainable operations.

Emily talks a lot about the sensory side of fashion and how important it is to buy clothing that "feels" amazing. She has been able to merge the two worlds of feel good and look good.

Made of premium stretch fabrics featuring stretch liners and stretch underarm panels.

Heavier modal based fabric and often double layered which creates compression and coverage.

HARPER HEELS
Three years in development, Emily solved one of her biggest issues which was a comfortable all day wear pump.

Emily is a fabric first designer. She picks fabrics for their durability with travel and every day life. Most people are suprised to hear how easy it is to take care of our pieces. No dry cleaning!
